About Rookwood Music

Rookwood Music is the home of my work as a composer, arranger and musical creator. The site brings together original music, arrangements, articles and projects developed over many years of writing for brass, wind and other ensembles.

Much of my work grows from my love for brass and wind instruments and ensembles, and my love for teaching. Alongside published music, Rookwood Music is also a place to explore the creative process through articles, videos and ongoing projects.

My catalogue includes music for brass band, chamber ensembles and soloists, ranging from concert works and arrangements to educational and recital material. I’m particularly interested in writing music that is rewarding to perform, clear in purpose and full of character.

Rookwood Music also provides a home for larger creative projects, including Dorian, a new musical inspired by Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Whether you’re here to find new music, explore ideas about composition and creativity, or follow a project as it develops, I hope you find something worth returning to.
